A Texas boy was able to escape a police search for hours by "hiding in the bushes." Damn! As someone who played hide and seek religiously as a child (note: anyone who creates a religion and calls it "hide and seekism" now owes me 50%) I would love to have found a spot like that. I would have been the King of Hide and Seek! No, the God!
The police should just have used the oldest trick in the hide and seek book. Call out "I give up! The game's over!" Then nab the kids stupid enough to believe you and reveal themselves.
