Stories like this are the reasons why I will include the following passage in my will:
I, being of sound mind and body (although, probably, not any more) do request that upon the event of my apparent death, a good friend should slap me in the face a couple times to make sure I am truly deceased and not just sleeping.
This request may be ignored in the event that I no longer have a face and/or a head, in which case it should be pretty clear whether I am dead or not.
