Don't say nothing interesting ever happens in Kansas. Sure, it might be boring on the surface. But underneath...well, listen to this. They've recently uncovered a whole underground city under the town of Leavenworth, complete with windows, streets, and storefronts.
Who built it? Who knows? Runaway slaves, escaped fugitives, Morlocks, mole people, those guys from The Matrix...your guess is as good as any. My personal theory says that hyper-intelligent, super-evolved gophers did it.
