The Secret Life of Oysters

I don't know much about oysters. Sure, I've taken a few oyster-related courses at Carolina (OYST110 and OYST301, if you're curious), and have even done a bit of extracurricular study on the subject, but I'm still just a novice.

Here's one thing I didn't know. Apparently, young oysters have only so much energy to expend on their developing oyster bodies. And here's the story of what happened to some French oysters who made a bad, bad choice.

Let this be a lesson to you. If you ever have to choose between upgrading your genitalia and upgrading your immune system, always go with the immune system. Words to live by.
